We Hear You Trellis Desk Users!

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to let all the Trellis Desk users know that we do indeed hear all your feedback!  We read every single email that comes into our inboxes and frequently browse the forums.  While we are often times busy and cannot reply to every comment, rest assure that your feedback is indeed read and greatly appreciated.

With that being said... I want to let everyone know that Trellis Desk v1.0.1 is in the works.  We are working on fixing a number of "annoyances", bugs, etc.  And of course, there will be some new little features and tweaks to improve the Trellis Desk experience.

What about 2.0?  Well, 2.0 is still in the works as well.  However, it will be some time before a public release is available.  It's going to be a major overhaul from 1.0 which is why it takes time to complete.  I promise, it will be worth the wait!

'Til next time... :)

The zipline...

"The zipline is an easy-to-use navigation system that zips you to wherever you need to be. Just pick a category, and you'll be presented with a list of relevant subcategories instantly -- no page refresh. Simply pick a subcategory, and you're on your way."

http://www.accord5.com/two/

The zipline, developed by Aaron has to be one of the best things available to the ACCORD5 developers. While I cannot reveal the details of my project just yet, let's just say that when you allow flexibility, you add lots of settings to the software. The zipline quickly allows you to be able to access any of these settings with just a couple of clicks and no page refresh.

Now that's a well designed concept......

Wiki Refresh

Earlier you may have noted one of my posts with a teaser image with a new wiki theme, well that one on hold since the website got re-designed - it's purdy right? So here is the new wiki theme, matching the homepage and utilizing our same navigation structure. It's being heavily worked on so, expect to see a live demo preview around the end of November. Please share your comments and suggestions.

'Twas the night before relaunch

I was inspired to write this on Thursday evening before our relaunch on Friday.

'Twas the night before relaunch,
and in his abode,
sat Aaron with his laptop,
scanning through code.

"I've made it my mission
To erase every quirk!"
In the footer I spot one,
"Crap, this link doesn't work!"

"I've had it with testing!
My brain is like soup!
I'll leave the rest up to
Our prerelease group!"

Then later that evening
The job was completed,
And into a long slumber
Aaron happily retreated.

On Friday, with haste,
He pressed Command+R
"Merry relaunch to all...
Now I'm off to the bar."

*...sigh*

Some changes

Hello everyone,

We've got some exciting projects in the pipeline here at ACCORD5. In order to make sure these projects launch in a timely fashion, we've had to shift our resources around a bit; so we're making a couple of changes to our product lineup. We are no longer selling the Lucidity skin series for Invision Power Board or displaying the Lucidity skin series for Trellis Desk on our site.

Rest assured, Lucidity for IP.Board will be back once IP.Board 3 is released to the public, and Lucidity for TD will go on sale once we release Trellis Desk 2. And as promised, upgrades to Lucidity for compatibility with IP.Board 3 will be free.

Thanks for understanding!

Staying awake

I am working hard on the new Trellis Desk 2.0 ACP design, at times when I should probably be sleeping instead. Luckily, I am kept awake during the day by Bon Appetit's kick-ass french vanilla cappuccinos. Thanks, Google!

Attached photo: Crappy teaser of the 2.0 design, with my beloved in the foreground.

Going PHP 5

Trellis Desk will be going PHP 5 only for v2.0.  We will be taking advantage of the offerings PHP 5 has over PHP 4.  If you are a Trellis Desk user and your host hasn't upgraded to PHP 5, which was first released back in 2004, get on them about it!
